Woronora Wonderland in the Sutherland Shire

The sheltered Woronora River is a truly beautiful waterway, not often visited by kayakers. An easy drive from the CBD or take the train. We’ll meet at the Sutherland Shire Canoe Club and paddle to Prince Edward Park and stop for a break at a riverside camping area (we are usually the only ones there). Lots of sandy beaches and quaint houses to see. Then into the Woronora Reserve – look out for the Sea Eagles! Lunch and swim at The Needles, a breathtaking picnic spot overlooking the water. Many tell us it’s the most attractive we go to. Short bushwalk.
