Chipping Norton Lakes

You've been off the water for a while. Get back into the spirit of kayaking and enjoy a relaxing day on this beautiful waterway. Chipping Norton Lakes is a total surprise package. It’s part of Georges River at Liverpool and we’ll paddle the lakes and connecting creeks – there’s so much to see. The area is home to 50 different species of birds including purple swamphens, pelicans, egrets, sacred ibis, pardalote and pacific black ducks. Common native trees found in this area include swamp oak, blue box, forest red gum, bangalay and wattle. Sandy boutique beaches for breaks and a lovely heritage homestead built in 1880 by Thomas Moore. Entire system of lakes and creeks is man-made! 

Good train connection. Car sharing encouraged.
